If there's one thing I cannot WAIT for, it's for the rest of LT's teeth. Yes I know it's not a pleasant experience for him to go through, nor mom and dad. But the little guy INSISTS on eating what we're eating. Most of the time we ARE eating something that he could probably have but take for instance last night. We had tacos. Hard shell. We set aside some of the meat which he LOVED, but of course didn't eat it all because he wanted the actual whole taco. So we removed him from the highchair and he took one look at dad's plate and headed over. For those that don't know, we don't have a table. We haven't had a table in about 2 years - if not longer. Someone said they liked it, named a price and we sold it. I guess we've enjoyed the space we now have. But that's another story...
Thus, we eat at the coffee table. So LT is at perfect height for this. (We like to make things easy for him you see...???) So he tries to get Jeff's food. That isn't good enough, he has to then squeeze between our knees and the coffee table to scoot over and get MY plate. I broke off a little piece of soggy shell but that wasn't good enough either. He wanted to HOLD the taco. Well, bud. Ya' can't. As you can guess, he didn't like that answer and Jeff tired to remove him from the situation and distract him with toys. Wasn't working. He was EXTREMELY tired which didn't help his mood so we decided = BEDTIME!!!!!!! Off to bed he went. I couldn't help but feel bad because he really just wanted to try what mom and dad were eating and was frustrated. Yes, he was tired, but it was only 7pm. His usual bedtime is 7:30/8pm.
At any rate, he zonked out after chattering to himself for a while and serenading his pillow pet, but I still felt bad. WHERE ARE YOU TEETH? We needeth you to come saveth the dayeth!
(that's my Shakespearean speak. it helps me)

ReplyDeleteAre you sure you aren't talking about your half-cat/half human felines? It sounds like Leighton has learned a few tricks from his furry siblings.
